MCG Advocate for the Arts Award

MCG Advocate for the Arts Award Recipient

Scott M. Lammie

Senior Vice President, Business Development and Board Treasurer

for UPMC Insurance Services Division

The MCG Advocate for the Arts award began 3 years ago to honor the amazing individuals whose passion and never-ending commitment to our organization, the arts, and the youth in our region make all the difference. We take a moment to celebrate those long-time supporters of our program and our students whose advocacy makes not only art shows like this year’s MCGI & All-City Arts Showcase possible but also the transformative programming we offer the youth in our region. This year we shine the light on a person who is truly a part of the MCG Youth & Arts Family, Mr. Scott Lammie.

Scott M. Lammie, Senior Vice President, Business Development and Board Treasurer for UPMC Insurance Services Division, served nine years on MBC’s board of directors, four of those as chair, and remains committed to the organization as an emeritus member of the board. As chair, he helped to establish an endowment for MCG Youth & Arts. Through his personal generosity and through UPMC Health Plan he has supported Youth programing for many years, including crucial sponsorship for the annual MCGI awards ceremony. While Scott’s commitments throughout the city of Pittsburgh fill his schedule on a regular basis, he has always made time for MCG events and shown his unwavering support for our staff and students. We would like to say thank you from the bottom of our heart. We honor you Scott and all you have done and continue to do, you are the definition of an Advocate for the Arts!
