MCG isn’t just for kids! Come relax, connect, and create in the evenings…

Studio Pottery
Teaching Artist: Jeff Guerrero
Jan 9 – Mar 2 (8 classes)
Tuesdays, 6 – 9 p.m.
Tuition: $160
Materials Fee: $50
Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced potter, you’ll have a great time at MCG. Although we tend to gravitate towards wheel throwing and functional pottery, you are welcome to create hand-built ornamental and sculptural work as well. Works made in this class will be high-fired in our gas kiln so they’ll look great and be microwave and dishwasher safe. We’ll also do some raku firing, which is an exciting process that leads to interesting and often beautiful results.

Digital Illustration
Teaching Artist: Jill Wiggins
Jan 10 – Feb 14 (6 classes)
Wednesdays, 6 – 9 p.m.
Tuition: $120
Materials Fee: $25
Learn to create vector artwork in this class featuring Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator is the industry standard for creating beautiful vector designs. This class will cover Artboards & Workspaces, an in-depth discussion of the Tools Panel and it’s functions, using the Pen Tool, Live Paint, basic patterns, coloring your work with fills or gradients and taking your Illustrator designs from the computer to print. Some of the projects include digital portraits as well as digital landscapes. You’ll even design your own set of icons. No experience necessary.
