Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild Invitational Exhibition
Instructions for Teacher Submissions
As a teacher, you can submit two pieces to the show. They are guaranteed to be shown in the exhibition, but you must still complete the digital submission process for the work to be accepted – including digital images so the pieces can be viewed by the jurors and be eligible for awards. The submission form is set up for you to complete your submissions one at a time. It is color coded – the first submission is in red, the second is in blue.

1 – 2. Enter your contact information and the school you teach at.
3 – 8. Enter information about the student and the artwork for the gallery tag.
9. Enter the student’s artist statement. Please enter only one statement per student. If you are submitting two works by the same student, please cut and paste the same statement into the second submission section. Please be sure to proofread the statement for spelling, grammatical, or other errors.
10 – 11. Specify size and framing needs. Please be aware that a matted piece of 2D artwork without any means to hang it is NOT installation ready. 2D work must be matted to one of the specified sizes or have some other hanging mechanism.
12 – 17. Student’s contact info.
Finishing and image submission: When you finish filling in the information, click the “Finish” button. You will be re-directed to the MCG Invitational submission page of our website. You will find an email address on this page to send your digital images to.
Image Requirements: Every piece you submit must be accompanied by a digital image. Images should be jpegs. They need to be titled with the student’s name as follows:
Lastname_Firstname_TitleOf Artwork.jpg
If necessary, you may include one additional image per submission of a detail or alternative view of the piece. This should be titled as follows:
Lastname_Firstname_TitleOf Artwork2.jpg
Once the jurying process is complete, you will be contacted on April 16-17 to arrange for delivery of the pieces accepted into the show.
