Courses for Adults

Studio Pottery
Teaching Artist: Jeff Guerrero
Sept 25 – Nov 20 (9 classes)
Tuesdays, 6 – 9 p.m.
Tuition: $180
Materials Fee: $60
Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced potter, you’ll have a great time at MCG. Although we tend to gravitate towards wheel throwing and functional pottery, you are welcome to create hand-built ornamental and sculptural work as well. Works made in this class will be high-fired in our gas kiln so they’ll look great and be microwave and dishwasher safe. We’ll also do some raku firing, which is an exciting process that leads to interesting and often beautiful results.

3D Modeling and Printing
Teaching Artist: Jill Wiggins
Oct 3 – Nov 7 (6 classes)
Wednesdays, 6 – 9 p.m.
Tuition: $120

Come and experience the MCG tech suite! You will learn how to design and create 3D models in this Autodesk Fusion 360 class. We will explore the ways that 3D modeling can solve problems in everyday life. We will also explore 3D modeling to create artwork.
Finally, you will learn about 3D printers and their quirks. You will prepare your models for printing on low end ($) and high end ($$$) 3D printers and some of the challenges.
